Learning where to even start

So I had an idea. But where do you go with that idea. I knew the vision and where I wanted to end up but no idea how to start. But I work at a Dunkin Donuts, and that means I come into contact with people all the time. And there was this guy, who became one of my best friends and he was a business man. So I gave him my card, and that started the beginning of everything.
This man started me on my path, gave me the motivation I needed when I was down and told me to just keep fighting. He pushed me to start this website and to start a TikTok, which I still fail at, but its baby steps right? Sometimes you just need someone behind you telling you that you can do it, that you aren't a total failure. And he was that person in my work life and in my personal life.
My brother also had some knowledge on where to begin and ideas moving forward. So he sent me to Wix, which is a website builder, and honestly some of our conversations in those beginning days meant the world to me. Just the reminder that this is probably the first thing in my life that makes total and complete sense since I have loved dogs since I was small.
One more person was really instrumental on the business end of things. And she has been a Facebook friend for years but I have sadly never even met her in person. She is just so good at this kind of thing and doing the research and even knowing where to look to find out the information I needed to know.
I know next season, I really want to do farmers markets and fairs etc but I now know I need business insurance for that. Right now I am on such a small scale that I haven't gotten to that point yet but probably around tax time I will make that investment so I can full move forward on a larger scale and start getting into those kinds of things.
I think the biggest thing right now is just having your continued support and getting the feedback, knowing your pets are loving the treats and just getting my name out there. I truly feel that word of mouth and first hand reviews are the best thing for me and my business; and hearing your feedback really keeps me motivated.
All my love,
Sheryl
